Take A Risk

by Thea

I heard an interesting story today: a survey was taken of 50 individuals over the age of 95 who were asked what their main regret was in life. The most common response was "not taking enough risks." You'd think it would be "I wish I had more money" or "I wish I was more successful…" but nope — they wish they had taken more risks.

I've heard this whole "face your fear" stuff quite a bit these past few weeks and knew it was God's little reminders to myself to STOP BEING A PUNK and face some of my fears.

While out running some errands, the urge to be less of a punk spontaneously came over me and I decided to try a strategy I knew I should've tried ages ago…And it wasn't so bad…And it worked! It's an important aspect of growing my biz and it was time I got over myself and did it.

Now, I need to focus on doing it again…and again…and again. So if you've been afraid to do something – whether personally or professionally, suck it up and do it! Nine times out of ten, it's sooooo much simpler than you thought. And if you fail, who cares? Get up and try again! Don't waste time like I've done thinking waaaaaay too much. Get out of your head and git to steppin'! Dreams don't come true if they stay inside your head. You've gotta DO something to make them happen – even if occasionally have to fight the fear of crapping your pants in order to do them.

Peace out and Happy Thursday!

Signed, Thea Less-Punky-Than-Yesterday Woods

How A 7-Year Old Boy Can Help You Make Over $500,000

Tweet A few weeks ago, I attended a local workshop for “'Minority' Women in Business". To be quite honest, I’m naturally not too keen on the whole “networking” (sometimes called ‘schmoozing’) thing. Why ALL Teachers Need Their Own Website (Part 1/3)

Tweet   Let’s face it – we’re all different: some of us are shy while others are very outgoing. As a teacher, you need to find ways to ensure that each student has an equal opportunity to express themselves in his/her own way.   One thing that bothered me in school was how one-sided and [...]
